Peterson will enjoy a summer of wonderful activities, partly due to the grant received from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council!

Peterson received a grant of $7,400 to help celebrate Peterson’s Norwegian Heritage. Gammel Dag Fest means “Good old days” in Norwegian.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

The Mission of the Peterson Committee for the Arts is to present a variety of artists, especially musicians, to enrich the lives of local residents and visitors.  Free art events encourage a sense of community while expanding the cultural backgrounds, experiences, and awareness of our citizens, including our youth, elderly, and people with limited means or mobility.
